Since this attraction was covered in our Niagara Discovery Pass, we made some time to visit it. It is not very accessible, and most of the staff in the shops that we stopped by to ask for directions did not even know the existence of this place. But we did finally find the place after a slow leisurely walk around.
Sea lions performing for a small audience. It always pains me to see animals being trained to perform for a small treat. They should be free in the wild, and even if they no longer possess the ability to survive in the wild, they should be at least be treated with dignity while held in captivity.
If you like marine animals, you will enjoy this aquarium. Just like other parts of the town in Niagara Falls State Park, the building is a little old and run-down, but there are still treasures within.
This is supposed to be a rare long nosed turtle.
The stars of the aquarium must be the cute penguins!
Can you spot how many pairs of penguins there are in this picture?
These two guys standing near the window did a Penguin Act for me.
I asked them for their best poses and the little fellows gamely obliged...
and entertained us with their swimming skills before we left.
So if you have bought the Niagara Discovery Pass, do check out the Aquarium located at the following address:
