Sumptuous Afternoon High Tea Buffet @ G Hotel Penang

We had great getaway trip at Langkawi few years back and had a great stay at Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa. We had a booked a 4D3N package stay which included daily buffet breakfasts and one night of buffet dinner. It was one of the best buffets that we had! When we heard that G Hotel Penang offer High Tea Buffets @ MYR$45++ on Saturdays, we decided to give it a try and hope that it is as good as the buffets at the Westin Langkawi Resort @ Spa.

Nice environment for a relaxing afternoon High Tea buffet. Amongst the greenery surrounding the hotel.

You can also choose to face Gurney Plaza if you want some inspirations on what to shop later.. :)

 Getting Ready for the Buffet...

 Neat Buffet set-up. We were amongst the first ones to enter the dining area for the buffet and had the opportunity to take some photos without the crowd.

So what's inside the containers? Let's find out...

Golden Bags, Popiahs, Chicken Stick and Tarts.

Penang Fruit Rojak.

Assorted Malay Kuehs. Just nice for an afternoon indulgence.

 Small slices of cakes. Various flavours to choose from.

Bread Selection.

Dried Fruits Preserve.

Fresh Cut Fruits.

Pangat Pisang.

Salad Making Station. You may want to start with this as an appetizer.

Noodle Station. For some prawn noodles.

Dim Sum Station. Its just next to the Noodles Station.

Pink Steamed Buns. We didn't take individual photos of them and have to use this one..

Green coloured Soup. We forgot the ingredients though...

Cold Cuts Station. We didn't take any of these though...

Live Preparation Station. You can request the hotel staff to prepare Satays and Kebabs here.

Keropoks. Crackers.

Gummies. This is the first time we see these as part of a buffet...

Beverages are part of the buffet as well. Coffee and English Tea are included in the buffet too, but you would need to inform the waiter that you would like to have a cup as they don't go round serving them automatically.

How about some Teh Tarik too?

 Baskin Robbins Ice Cream. What a sweet way to end the meal..

Overall, the G Hotel High Tea Buffet was quite sumptuous, considering the price that we paid (MYR $45++). So if you are staying at G Hotel Penang, do try out their High Tea Buffet! They also serve a Family Brunch every Sunday at MYR $78++ besides a theme dinner every night ranging from Seafood, BBQ, Malaysia Local Food, Japanese and Surf & Turf.

Tip: If you own a HSBC credit card, there's a 15% discount!
